Aunt Ashleigh's Visit...

We got lucky to get a chance to see Aunt Ashleigh for a little while on her travels from CA to NC to visit her family. The girls were so excited to spend some time with her. She is the first and almost the only family we get to see this year. Its just not the same as last year with her and Uncle Luke and Granny and Aunt Mae Mae here. Any time we can get we love, thank you so much Ashleigh, Audra and Dan to take the time to stop in for a quick visit.
We LOVE you ASH!
Merry Christmas LUKE!

Pregnancy Update...

I was 16 weeks this past Saturday so naturally I had my 16 week appointment this am. Everything is looking great with baby #3. The first quad screen test came back normal and I had the second blood test today, it's so different now than when I had Paige. The baby's heart beat was right at 130, strong and healthy. I have gained two of the four pounds back that I had lost. YAY! I get to schedule my 20 week ultrasound in the next few days once it hits the referral system, the joys of Tricare. The girls are getting excited I have been feeling some movement and I can't wait for Craig and the girls to feel it.

"Merry Christmas" from the Penguin Class

I am so excited, Craig bought me a new camera for Christmas and I got it early because I need to take alot of pictures during this HOLIDAY SEASON. I had a great chance to use it today for the first time at Reese's Class Christmas Party. The Penguin class put on an adorable program full of songs and laughter. We then ate pizza together and passed out gifts. Paige and I had a great morning with Reese and her class, THANK YOU Mrs Ruth & Mrs Gina.

This is Reese and Mrs. Gina, one of her teachers. Today was her last day and Reese loves her so much and she will be missed. GOOD LUCK in OHIO!

Here is a video of Reese's Class singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas," so cute.

Christmas Tradition 2

Gingerbread house...
Every year we build a gingerbread house of some sort. Last year we got too ambitious and put together three kits, a gingerbread house, gingerbread train, and a gingerbread Christmas tree. This year we found a more simpler kit that still had a house, tree and two little "girls" to decorate. We found it a lot more family friendly and the girls really got into decorating the tree themselves and creating their own gingerbread girls. Once the house was assembled the helped add all the finishing touches. A lot of candy and icing was consumed and here we are a few hours later and they still seem to be on sugar highs.

Christmas Tradition 1

It's Granny Wright cheese ball time..
A Christmas tradition in Craig's family is making homemade cheese balls. The recipe is very good. It's a lot of fun and mess to make. I always make the cheese ball "dough" up and Craig and his siblings would roll it up but since no one is coming here this year Reese stepped up to the plate and helped her Daddy shape the cheese ball/logs up and into the season/nut mixture. They had a lot of fun and definitely got their hands messy.

Can't wait to dig in.

Christmas Party Playdate...

The girls and I hosted our yearly Christmas Party Playdate here at the house this morning and had a great time. Our friends brought yummy treats to share, thank you all so much. I am still thinking about the artichoke dip... OH MY. Preggers belly LOVED. The little girls (not just mine, was a house literally of 15 ladies... from the age of maybe 10 days to well I won't tell you all how old I am since I am pretty sure I was the oldest there) exchanged wrapped Christmas themed books. There were a few friends that weren't able to come and were sadly missed, you know who you are. I am sorry my pictures look so funny.. they are taken with my phone and as soon as we can we will buy a new camera for better shots to share.

Picking a special tree for the girls...

Last year the girls used this artificial outdoor Charlie Brown style tree to hang their special ornaments on but this year Craig and I decided to get the girls a little "real" tree. They had such fun picking it out. It is a cute tree, they did a great job.

Miss Sick Reese!

So Reese has pneumonia... last week she seemed to be getting a cold but handled it just fine. On Monday she woke up at 4 with a fever and she threw up twice. So I took her into the clinic. I also took Paige because she had the nasty nose and cough too. The Dr. thought Strep. So he did a rapid test on both girls, Paige's came back negative and Reese's came back iffy but not positive. So he said to wait til Wednesday and call back for culture results. So I did, Reese never threw up again but still had a fever off and on for the next two days. So Wednesday I call the clinic and the nurse tells me no strep. Must be viral and just to keep doing the motrin and humidifier. Watch the fever and keeps up the clinic would be open on Friday. So that's what we did. Now Reese's mood has been fine, unless she has a fever then she just crawls under a few blankets and zones. She had a fever at least once over the next two days and Friday morning woke up at three with one over 103. I had enough. So as soon as I could I called to get another appointment, this time with a different Dr. So we got dressed and rushed to the clinic because I was on the phone with them until 7:40 and her appointment was at 8:10. We get there right at 8:10, I was surprised they didn't send me back home with the whole you need to be here 15 mins early lecture. She got right in and the Dr. checked her over and was for sure she had pneumonia... the chest x-ray confirmed it and now we have drugs and are doing better. Reese has always been this way. When she was about 14 months something very similar happened. I took her into the clinic in Charleston on a Monday, because she had been sick, and they couldn't find anything and sent us home, then on either Wednesday or Thursday I took her back and she had a double ear infection and pneumonia then... makes me so mad when Dr. don't listen to me. Well, all is well now. She has a follow up on Monday.

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving 2008.
We had a great day today. Craig went hunting with a good friend for the morning. The girls and I got up started a fire and were lazy in our pj's watching the parade. I was surprised at how much they both actually got into it. At one point Paige was trying to dance like the Radio City Rockettes, was really cute. I had done so much prep-cooking that all I needed to do in the morning was get the turkey into the oven. Around 12ish we got cleaned up, Craig got home and I started on the stuffing, potatoes, gravy and rolls. Reese hasn't been feeling well off and on all week so she actually fell asleep at dinner time. One of Craig's friends from TBS came over and ate with us and dinner was delish. A few hours later we went down to the Sons house for a buffet of desserts and had a nice relaxing evening. We really hope you all had a great Thanksgiving too.

YES, I am Pregnant...

OOOOOPSSS, ok so I never posted an official notice that we are expecting Baby #3 in May of 09. SO SO sorry.

Thanksgiving Monday!

What an exciting time of year. I am really looking forward to this week. Thursday Craig is planning on hunting all morning and the girls and I plan on staying in our PJ's with a fire going, baking, cooking and watching the Macy's Day Parade. Just a quick update, I broke the camera, so we will work on getting a new one so everyone can see the girls. Speaking of the girls.. they are sick. Looks like Reese has strep and Paige is just sick. Took them in to the clinic this am. As far as Baby #3 goes, I am 13 weeks, had an appointment last week, was measuring at 14 cm, heartbeat was in 130's and I had lost 4 pounds... which I am sure I will gain back this week with all the goodies in the house. We keep getting teased with snow in the forecast the first time I saw two flakes, the last time.. a few small flurries, nothing even really making it to the ground. Well our third chance is tomorrow afternoon. I would love a decent snowfall of an inch or two. Craig is working on the base doing some Communications stuff til school starts in January. He was so excited to get a government email address again. Well, sorry so short, no funnies and no pics. We love and miss you all and hopefully I can get some pictures this week and post them for you all. Oh has anyone else started watching the Countdown to "25 Days of Christmas" on ABC Family??? Yeah we are, I know CRAZY.

Is the night over? Daylight I see?

Oh my what a night. I am so glad its daylight and the girls seem ok so far. I am not sure if was 12 and 2 or 2 and 4 when they each settled down and were able to walk away from the little white trash can for the last time, I HOPE. I can't remember. The numbers on the clock seem to blurr together. So far this morning we have just cleaned up our blankets, pillows and pallets off of the living room floor and couch. I have had a crying spell from exhaustion and emotions. The girls were sweet to me though, patted my head and Reese asked "are you afraid you need the little white trash can?" So sweet. I think we will spend the day in front to the tv watching movies and recovering. I won't be able to be too lazy, still need to finish all this laundry and CLORAX wipe as much as I can. I will have to feed us too ofcourse. So if you don't mind just pray and send healthy vibes to the Wiggins House... :)

Hatred for the little white trash can...

The girls are sick... both of them seem to be rotating turns over the little white bathroom trashcan. THEY HATE IT. How it started, I get a call at 11:50 that Reese threw up at lunch... on her, the table, across the table, and onto one of her classmates. GREAT! I don't get the message until a little after 12 and I manage to pick her up at 12:20... where she doesn't even make it out of the school before she throws up again. Once home she cryed to have a bath to wash her hair, so we did that and she threw up again. Paige wanted to join her in the tub so they both sat in the tub sucking on popsicles. At this point Reese seemed to perk up a bit. I got her all settled into a bed of towels in my room so she could watch a movie. Paige then climbed onto the other side of the bed to take her nap... the next hour was amazing. NOTHING happened. Craig got home a bit early today and he walked in to both girls sitting in my bed watching a movie, hugged Reese and asked how she had been. As soon as I said "She has been fine" PAIGE threw up all over UNTOWELED side of our bed. YAY us. So basically we have been rotating laundry, clothes, sheets, towels. Taking turns with the little white trash. THEY HATE IT.

Poor little girls, just pray that this is quick and that Craig and I stay healthy. We love and miss you all. :)

Day 7

We all loaded up together this morning and went to an amazing church service, then went to lunch at Pancho Villa. Since we were stuffed when we got home we all needed naps, except for Craig. After naps the weather cleared up for about an hour or so so we went out back and played with the BB guns. As you can see we look really country, yes Reese still has her church dress on with pink pj bottoms and matching pink boots. Paige is even worse with her Redskins jersey, purple pants and black boots. They didn't need them but the mosquito's were getting bad so skin coverage was a must. Both girls ended up sandy and dirty and had to go straight in to the bath before we ate dinner. Right now we are just being lazy. It looks like Luke and Ashleigh will be attempting to get on a flight home in the morning so we will make the best of our last evening together.

Day 5

So the weather today on our 5th day toghether is wet and yucky. Which meant we couldn't do too much and were begining to get bored in the house. I decided we would make some pumpkin people. While Paige was off at preschool, Luke, Ashleigh, Reese and I went to a local nursery to purchase a bunch of pumpkin for our family. Craig will have to make his as soon as he has time.
