VBS at Mount Ararat Baptist Church

The girls and I had a great time this past week helping and attending Vacation Bible School at our Church here in Stafford. I had a lot of fun acting as the first grade coordinator, I basically made sure that the four first grade classes had what they needed for kids, the bible teachers, craft teachers, and teen helpers. I made sure they got where they needed to go and also got what they needed. Reese had a great time, I would go visit her classroom when ever I was on an errand and she was so happy and having a great time. The most exciting thing for Reese was to be in the Rally in the FLC every morning with all the big kids singing and dancing and also the Penny Wars as the boys and girls fought over who could donate the most pennies. The boys won by 60.0o, but in all the 481 children raised over $2000.00, Reese had so much fun walking up to the buckets and putting her pennies in. I didn't see Paige much, in fear that if I went by her classroom she would get upset and want to be with me. The last day was hard for her, she was done with being in the classroom with about an hour left on Friday. Reese's teacher did tell me that when their class was on their way to recreation that would pass Paige's class and the girls would stop and HUG and Paige's face would lite up with a huge smile that she saw Reese. I hope that stays that way. Thank you MABC for allowing us to participate in a really fun week, we are all still singing the songs and doing the dances from Outrigger Island.
